FAQs

Absolutely! I understand this is a significant investment, so I aim to make my trips as affordable as possible by offering payment plans. There’s a deposit of $1,000 due at the time of booking, followed by an installment plan. Please note that you are responsible for making payments on time—failure to do so will result in forfeiting your spot without a refund. All payments are due two months prior to departure.

This depends on your personal spending habits, but I recommend budgeting around $30 per day for additional expenses like lunches (a few are not included) and any alcoholic beverages. If you plan on shopping or purchasing souvenirs, set aside extra. You’ll also want to budget for tips for our guide. Other than that, everything is covered in the tour price!

Yes, you will need a passport valid for at least six months prior to your travel date. If your passport is expiring before then, you should renew it as soon as possible. If you don’t have a passport yet, start the process now—it can take several months. Feel free to reach out if you need any assistance.

Visa Information:
Most nationalities, including citizens of EU countries and the USA, can obtain a tourist visa upon arrival in Egypt. For eligible citizens, we will handle visa stamps to ensure a smooth process. Unfortunately, Canadian citizens are not eligible for visas on arrival and will need to apply through their local Egyptian embassy before the trip.

Yes, travel insurance is required for all of my trips, with at least post-departure/travel medical coverage. I highly recommend it for peace of mind, knowing you’re covered in case anything happens before or during your trip. If you’re looking for recommendations, I work with SafetyWing for travel insurance, which offers excellent coverage options.

This trip requires a moderate level of activity, with a fair amount of walking, especially when exploring historical sites. However, there are plenty of opportunities to relax and recharge between excursions.

From my experience of spending a few months in Egypt, I can confidently say I have never felt unsafe. Group travel is especially safe since you’ll be with a local guide and a tour leader at all times, so you’ll never be alone. While no place can guarantee complete safety, Egypt is generally a safe destination, and we’ll provide safety tips to ensure a smooth and enjoyable trip.

I typically recommend booking your flights 3 to 6 months in advance. However, since this tour is approaching, I suggest booking as soon as I confirm our group and arrival details. You’ll be flying in and out of Cairo International Airport (CAI). Feel free to set a flight alert on Google Flights to monitor prices.

Not at all! Many people join group trips solo, and it’s a fantastic way to meet new people and make lasting friendships.
